From Rio de Janeiro to the Bay Area

Flavio Carvalho was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He came to the United States as a young man, navigating the immigration system firsthand — experiencing the uncertainty, the paperwork, and the profound stakes of every decision. That experience never left him.

After earning his law degree and being admitted to the California State Bar in 2012, Flavio dedicated his practice to the two areas of law that intersect most deeply with family life: family law and immigration. He has spent over 14 years fighting for clients who are going through some of the hardest moments of their lives.

Flavio is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish — a reflection of his deep roots in the Bay Area's immigrant community and his commitment to serving clients in the language they're most comfortable with.
